Diana Vieira da Silva is an architect, based in Porto, Portugal.
She study visual arts before she entered the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto where she completed her master in architecture (2010). Conducted a scholarship in Venezia at the IUAV during 2007-2008. Having her own architecture studio since 2012, works as an architect, individually and in partnership with other architects. Her portfolio consists, mainly, in housing, retail and services projects, as well as, temporary structures for exhibition fairs. She has developed several projects in Portugal in the field of interior design, especially, retail spaces. Noteworthy are the individual projects House Azevedo Coutinho (2015), Shop on Avenida da Liberdade (2011), Anselmo 1910 (2009) and Boutique Monseo (2008).
Belonging to the 3rd generation of a family jewellers, it was naturally that she designed her first jewellery collection, keeping the collaboration with Monseo brand over the years. In this field of work she designed several collections such as the Portuguese Story (2014), Secret Garden (2011) and Exotica (2007) as well as several unique and bespoke pieces.
Diana pursues research in furniture design, lighting, as well as explore different techniques, materials and textures. She’s always seeking to combine design innovation to traditional craftsmanship.
She is passionate about architecture, interiors and design, she is quite eclectic in her choices and in her travels, always searching new forms of knowledge, but she does not cease to be amazed by the Portuguese culture and is a supporter of the Portuguese know-how. She is currently exploring ways of merging new technologies with the best of craftsmanship and Portuguese tradition.
